Hi Eileen,

Goodness gracious, THAT person is like a virus, keeps popping up in your life no matter how you try to ignore it/him.

Good luck with selling on eBay. I buy on eBay now an then. What is the name you use to sell? I may check you out.

Enjoy the rest of your vacation, ignore that being the best you can.

xo

Arlene.

I sell under "kittlecateileen". Right now I'm trying to sell these S'mores ornaments. I was heavily into collecting them awhile back and now there just more junk I don't have room for.

Well, I have responded to everyone who chatted today.

Soon is my daughter's wedding and she has calmed down. It is my fault too that we argue, it is not her only. We have the Italian spiciness in us.......from my mother, my aunts and so on. I don't want to argue like that again. It hurts too much.

Again, not much going on, but I am going to go into cognitive behavior therapy. I am tired of anxiety getting me down all the time. Doing that as soon as the wedding is over. It is almost two weeks away. Holy c***.

My weight hardly ever changes; I wanted to weigh 30 pounds less than I do, but I have bad knees and it is difficult to exercise. Without exercise it is almost impossible to lose weight. Most of the time, I don't eat much.

I also want to have a surgery called Sinus Balloon Sinuplasty done. Medicare covers it, and I am so so tired of post nasal drip, horrible headaches, dizziness, trouble breathing. It is an outpatient procedure that takes less than an hour. I go to the doctor tomorrow to start the ball rolling. Anything to be able to breathe right again.

To all whom post who I have not addressed, I send my love.

To Vicki, you are an awesome Mimi. You are wonderful with the grandchildren. I do understand that it exhausts you though. You are doing fantastic with the weight loss. What are you eating again? It is another day of CRS for me again today.

To Connie, it upsets me to see you in pain every day. Take care of yourself.

To everyone, I send my love and prayers and take care of yourselves.

With love.

Arlene....'Italian spiciness'....i love it!

My mom used to call us pig**** Irish the way we all argued. She was an only child who came from a proper English background.

Hope you can get the sinus surgery.  I am fortunate I don't suffer much, but when I get a bad sinus headache I have to sleep it off.

Rofl.

Boy oh boy. We are a. pig headed. b. when we get angry we, scratch that out.....I hold a grudge. My mom used to hold a grudge for years. I have tried to get over that and have done so for the most part. but...c. The tempers that get going when we think we are wronged. That is the issue. My daughter, fortunately doesn't anger easily and neither do I. Unfortunately, when we become really upset, Nellie bar the door. We don't swear, we don't insult. But we both will insist we are right. Two bullheaded women. Hm. I wonder where she got that bullheadedness from. Hm.

Good afternoon Carla and everyone...

I am glad your trip is going well. You will be with your little Vinnie before long!!

It is great that Bentley is so good in the car. Some dogs just don't travel well.

As for me..... nothing much for me. I am still waiting for them to come and fix that bedroom window. I really had a TALK with them today!!!!

I got things ready for my cleaning fairy. I always sort my laundry and get cleaning supplies out and such. She is slower so I do little things to speed her up.

Gracie seems better. She did go to school today. Last night she told me all about her accident and riding in the ambulance and such. She can't wait to share it with her friends at school!!

Prayers for our wonderful OFF Family and their families. Special prayers for those in need.

Have a great rest of the day!!

Loads of love and bundles of hugs to all....connie d

Hello sistas!

Well, I have had a hella morning, and that's a fact.  I was attacked by that damn big American bull dog this morning!  Holy ****!  That was some kind of scary!

I went out to take the trash to the curb this morning.  I parked my can by the curb, turned around, and saw my neighbor's little dog in her front yard.  "Uh oh," I thought, "her dog got out."  I started back up the driveway and then bam!  That big damn bull dog flew around the corner and charged me!  I've told y'all how she charges the fence and growls and bites at the wire.  That's unnerving enough. Well, let me tell you, having 80 pounds of bull dog charge you WITHOUT the fence is terrifying!

I knew not to run.  My daddy always told me not to run.  You have to stand your ground.  So I did, but she was all over me, snarling and growling, and yes, she bit my hand.  I was very lucky though.  I got it out of her mouth before she could clamp down on me.  If she had, I would have been in the hospital today with a mangled hand!  Although she didn't get a good enough bite to puncture the skin, my hand is purple and bruised anyway.  The power in that dog's jaws is terrifying.

Luckily my neighbor's daughter Bree (she's the one who owns the dog) either heard the ruckus or saw it and came running out her front door and called the dog off.  I ran back into the house!  I was so shook up!

Well, long story short, my neighbor is getting rid of the dog.  This Friday.  Thank God.  She and I talked it out (which was good--better than calling the authorities), and I made it very clear to her that I would do whatever I had to do to protect myself and my family from future attacks.  She really was so horrified about the whole incident and she apologized over and over, and she had already made arrangements to send the dog away before I calmed down enough to go over there.  I know that accidents happen and dogs sometimes get out.  But THAT dog could truly kill or maim someone!  Thank GOD I did not have the baby with me.  Or that my mom wasn't out there, or my boys.  I'm physically okay.  Just a little shook up.  I won't hold it against her.  It was an accident that the dog got out. But it was obvious that dog was BIG TROUBLE and I'll be glad to see it gone.  And I'm glad no one was seriously injured.

So, this afternoon I go back to my WLS for my first monthly check-up since starting my diet.  I am hopeful the scale will move down when I weigh in there.  It did move down here.  For those of you who have asked, here is what he has me doing:

I take an appetite suppressant called Bontril every morning.  I have two protein shakes a day and then a regular supper.  I go in each week for a LipoLean injection.  And I'm walking.  I'm literally trying to walk my ass off!  LOL!  I could barely do a mile when I first started, but now I'm doing 3 miles a day easily.  I'm not fast--it takes me about 20 minutes to do a mile--but I'm working up a sweat and my heart rate goes up, so I'm doing it right.

By my scale, I have lost 12-13 pounds.  I weighed 196.4 on my scale this morning.  I weighed 208 or so when I started.  On the doctor's scales, I started at 210.  Last week, I was at 200 even on his scales.  So I'm eager to see what it is today.

Also, I'm still not eating ANY meat except for an occasional piece of broiled fish or some shrimp.  I eat all fruits.  I have cooked veggies for my supper every night.  Every now and then I eat some rice or pasta or cheese, or I nuke a frozen thing for my dinner.  I like those Amy's frozen entrees.  They're vegetarian.

So, let's see, what else.  Oh!  Carrie is going to check out a daycare this afternoon.  We have both looked at it on-line and it seems pretty good.  They have an immediate opening right now in the infant room.  Carrie tells me that she simply cannot stand to be away from her baby.  Well, okay.  I understand.  I was trying to make it easier on her, but she says she's not getting anything done because she misses Caralee so much.  So we might be moving Caralee back to Waco this weekend.

I have to tell y'all that secretly I am not unhappy about this prospect.  I love my little granddaughter, but I'm really, really tired, you know?  Being up with a baby all night is exhausting.  I think it might work better for Carrie and Caralee to live in Waco and let me travel back and forth to help out several times a month.  So we will see.  I'm looking forward to her phone call this afternoon.  I wish I was there to go preview the daycare with her and interview them, but Carrie is a smart woman.  She'll know if it's a good place or not.

Okay, time for me to go change clothes and get ready to drive into San Antonio for my appointment.  I dread to think what my blood pressure will be today!  I'll let y'all know if anything new develops.

Love you all!

Geez Vickie that dog attack HAD to be terrifying! I would be shook up, too! Good the dog is going...he sounds dangerous!

Your diet sounds good, but you don't get hungry just having 2 shakes and one meal? How long do you expect to eat like this? Do you feel the shot works? Does it make you feel edgy?

I think I would be relieved too regarding the baby. I would have mixed feelings, but mostly relief. We have raised our kids and are moving into our twilight years. I don't think wanting our time to be our own is too much to ask. God knows you've gone above & beyond!

Kathy I actually do okay until about 5 o'clock.   Then when I'm hungry I'm hungry!   I have my Pro Joe when I first get up and my shake around 1 p.m. I usually have a piece of fruit or plain popcorn in the afternoon as my snack.   I think the appetite suppressant helps with the hunger during the day.   I still struggle in the evening hours though.  From 8-10 is awful. All I want to do is eat.
